This promotional set from Benang Istanbul pairs two best sellers from the Piramit collection, 15T Black Base and 16T Orange Base. Both share the same loose, painterly floral style. One is printed on black with a fuchsia pink border, the other on ivory with an orange border. Each is a 90 x 90 cm rayon square, so you get a dark scarf and a light scarf that fold and tie exactly the same way.
Black Base puts bright flowers on a deep black ground. Powder blue blooms with dark centres sit beside hot pink and fuchsia petals, yellow and ochre flowers and small strokes of violet, while lilac and pink brushstroke leaves curve between them. A fuchsia pink border frames the square, and the Piramit Luxer label is printed in a small pink box near one corner.
The black keeps all that colour in check. Up close the print is busy, but from a few steps away it reads as a dark scarf with flashes of colour, which is why it sits so well with a black abaya or a plain dark outfit.
Orange Base turns the palette around. The ground here is ivory and the flowers lean warm, with orange red poppies and dark centres, lemon yellow blooms, magenta and violet petals, and soft olive and dusty rose stems. A bright orange border runs around the edge, and the Piramit Luxer label sits in a small gold box.
This is the lighter of the two. It suits daytime outfits in white, cream, olive or denim, where the orange border has room to stand out.

Both scarves are made from rayon, a fibre produced from plant cellulose and often sold as viscose. Rayon is light, soft on the skin and absorbs moisture well, so it stays comfortable through Malaysia’s humid afternoons. The surface has a smooth sheen that keeps the prints crisp, and you notice it most where the bright flowers meet the black ground of 15T.
At 90 x 90 cm, each square is the standard headscarf size. Folded into a triangle, it covers the hair and pins under the chin, with enough length left to wrap at the neck or drape over the shoulders.
For a classic look, fold either scarf into a triangle, set the folded edge across the forehead and pin it under the chin. An inner cap underneath keeps it steady through the day. For something lighter, fold the square into a narrow band and knot it at the side of the neck, or loop it around a handbag handle.
With Black Base, pick out one colour from the print, such as the powder blue or the fuchsia, and repeat it in your top or bag. With Orange Base, keep the outfit plain white or cream and let the border do the framing.
